This website developed from a two year Heritage Lottery funded project led by Hertfordshire Museums working in partnership with seven museums in the county;
The Dacorum Heritage Trust, Hertford Museum, Hitchin Museum, Stevenage Museum, The Museum of St Albans, The Walter Rothschild Zoological Museum in Tring and Watford Museum.
Each museum developed their own individual project based on the theme of raising awareness of Hertfordshire’s diverse communities and the material on the website has been primarily generated from these projects. However, it is hoped that over time the site will continue to grow into a treasure trove of information which will represent the cultural heritage of all communities who have settled in Hertfordshire.
